“The Opposite of Now” marks the 25th anniversary of the Jewish Museum Berlin, bringing together twelve artists and collectives whose work explores new ways of living and thinking.Developed specially for the exhibition, the new works on view encourage the public to engage with contemporary issues using their own ideas and perspectives, and to search for approaches that can change society. Drawing on the perspectives of Jewish communities across the diaspora, the exhibition considers how moments of rupture can spark renewal, reversal, and imaginative futures. Across generations and geographies, the exhibition positions art as a space to imagine, experiment, and explore possibilities for a better life for all.Participating artists include Yael Bartana, Andrea Büttner, Chto Delat, Arnold Dreyblatt, William Forsythe, Dana Kavelina, Alexander Kluge, Daniel Laufer, Dor Zlekha Levy, Ari Benjamin Meyers, Alona Rodeh, Eran Schaerf.
